[I'M IN LOVE WITH A GHOST]

Introduction
Fear is a dark shadow.
She is always hidden and ready to torment.
She hurts you, she is sharp and difficult to stop,
because she can't be controlled.
Fear is strong as passion's alter-ego.
If the passion is a colored hurricane, a red fire,
the colour fear is grey, white colour when she disappears and black colour when she keeps hurting you.
Like a ghost she appears when the body's senses don't control her.
"I'm in love with a ghost" collection expresses this tricky sensation.

Project
"I'm in love with a Ghost" is composed by:
1)Mini Collection of 4 Garments, hand made tulle and Japanese paper dresses, gathered onto the body with steam.
2)Six Illustrations, which inspired the collection, cycle of feelings and emotions. Dimensions: 29,7cm x 21cm,. Watercolour, Silver ink, coloured pencils.
3) Video - art , inspired by the 4 garments collection. Time 4'23".
4) Performance live.

The Collection
The garment's collection is made by body's sensations, visually projecting on the material the untouchable shiver that fear makes. "I'm in love with a ghost", throughout fragile and evanescent garments, expresses the suffering caused by fear. The project is composed of 4 hand made tulle and japanese paper dresses, gathered onto the body with steam. Ripped photos, caused by a strong interior struggle, are hand made stitched on each dress. The photos show shadows of women's and men's hands, trying to link each other passionately. Both dresses and photos represent a cycle of feelings and emotions: the first dress is the expression of the meeting, the second one is the desire to connect each other, the third one is the timid separation and the last one, the desperate proof to try to stay together. Accessories like shoes, gloves an hoods, are made by tulle and blue satin ribbons, for each dress.

Illustrations
Six illustrations, which inspired the collection, cycle of feelings and emotions.
the first illustration is the expression of the meeting, the second one is the desire to connect each other, the third one is the timid separation and the last one, the desperate proof to try to stay together. Dimensions: 29,7cm x 21cm.

Screenplay
"I'm in love with a Ghost" is the imaginary and real love story of two souls, which are stopped by the fear and they are not able to realise their dream to stay together.
The dream atmosphere, in which the feminine character is involved, is mixed with the real one of the masculine character.
The line between the two situations is not well defined, the two worlds are melted.
The story is divided in 4 moments as the four garments in it, cycle of feelings and emotions: the first dress is the expression of the meeting, the second one is the desire to connect each other, the third one is the timid separation and the last one, the desperate proof to try to stay together.
In the last scene the feminine character wakes up and finds the "pieces" of her dream: the ripped photos, caused by a strong interior struggle and showing shadows of women's and men's hands, trying to link each other passionately and the second dress which is the symbol of their mental connection.

Performance - Live
First part:
Video projection, then at the end of it, catwalk of the models wearing the four garments.
Second part:
The models throw ripped photos to the ground and they fall sleeping on them.
This situation represents either cycle of feelings and emotions either a new beginning:
the moment in the video in which the feminine character is sleeping, and the end when she finds the ripped photos.

Exhibition/Installation
Dresses and accessories are hold by a transparent thread, because they have to fly in the air.
No mannequins, because the dresses represent the ghost of fear.
Video projection on screen.
Six illustrations with frames.

Introduzione
La paura è un’ombra oscura. E’ sempre in agguato pronta a tormentare. Fa male, perché non si può controllare, perché è tagliente ed evanescente e difficile da frenare.Forte ed impetuosa come la passione, la paura è il suo alter - ego. Se la passione è un turbinio di colori caldi, ardenti, rossa come il fuoco, la paura è grigia, bianca, quando svanisce e nera quando non lascia tregua.Se la passione è folle, pur nella sofferenza e nel dolore, la paura è infida e si insinua piano piano.La paura è un bianco fantasma che appare quando la veglia dei sensi cala.

Progetto
“I’m in love with a Ghost” è composto da:
1)Quattro abiti cuciti a mano, tulle e carta giapponese lavorata a mano.
La carta giapponese e’ stata modellata direttamente sul corpo umano per la realizzazione degli abiti, in modo tale che gli abiti prendono la forma del corpo in modo naturale.
2)Sei illustrazioni, ciclo sequenziale di stati d’animo. Dimensioni 29,7cm x 21cm. Tecnica: acquarello, penna a sfera, inchiostro argento, matite colorate.
3) Video installazione, Minuti 4’23”.
4) Performance live.

Abiti
La collezione di abiti “I’m in love with a ghost” esprime l’ ingannevole sensazione della paura, l’alter – ego della passione.“I’m in love with a ghost” è stata progettata con i sensi, proiettando visivamente e sulla materia quell’ impalpabile fremito che la paura crea.“I’m in love with a ghost” esprime attraverso abiti “fragili”, “ diafani” la sofferenza di non poter toccare ed intrappolare l’altra faccia della passione.I quattro abiti sono interamente cuciti a mano, in tulle bianco e con differenti carte giapponesi, modellate e plissettate a mano con l’ausilio del vapore.Su ogni abito sono state cucite fotografie lacerate, come sotto l’impulso di una straziante lotta interiore, rappresentanti ombre di mani maschili e femminili che tentano di unirsi e ritrovarsi spinte da una passione che li avvince, ma che, non troverà mai un appagamento, poiché frenate dalla paura.I quattro abiti e nel particolare le fotografie, rappresentano un ciclo sequenziale di stati d’animo: dal primo abito - espressione dell’incontro, al secondo - desiderio di unione, al terzo - timida separazione e infine al quarto - disperato e stridente tentativo di aggrapparsi.Per ogni abito l’outfit comprende accessori quali mantello, un solo guanto, calzari in tulle bianco e nastri di raso blu.Le fotografie presenti sugli abiti e quelle degli abiti stessi sono state realizzate personalmente dall’autore.

Sei illustrazioni, ciclo sequenziale degli stati d’animo.
Dalle prime due - espressione dell’incontro, alle seconde - desiderio di unione, alle terze - timida separazione e infine, alle ultime due - disperato e stridente tentativo di aggrapparsi.Dimensioni: 29,7cm x 21cm.

Sceneggiatura
“I’m in love with a Ghost” è la storia d’amore immaginaria e reale di due anime che, frenate dalla paura, non sono in grado di realizzare il loro sogno di unione.
L’atmosfera da sogno in cui si trova il personaggio femminile è mischiata a quella reale in cui si trova il personaggio maschile.
Il confine tra reale ed immaginario non è ben definito, i due mondi, l’onirico ed il vissuto sono in continuo coinvolgimento.
La storia si divide in quattro momenti principali come i quattro abiti presenti, ciclo sequenziale di stati d’animo: primo momento - espressione dell’incontro, secondo momento - desiderio di unione, terzo momento - timida separazione, quarto momento - disperato e stridente tentativo di aggrapparsi.
Nell’ultima scena il personaggio femminile si sveglia, ritrova i “frammenti” del sogno, di quella unione spezzata dalla paura.
La figura femminile vede in terra le fotografie lacerate rappresentanti ombre di mani maschili e femminili che tentano di unirsi invano ed il secondo abito o abito nuziale, simbolo di un’unione solo mentale.

Performance – Live
Prima parte:
Proiezione della video installazione, al termine della quale, entrata in scena di quattro modelle con indosso gli abiti.
Seconda parte:
Le modelle portano con se fotografie spezzate, che lasceranno cadere e sui cui si sdraieranno come addormentate.
Questa parte rappresenta sia la fine del ciclo sequenziale degli stati d’animo, sia un nuovo inizio, ma anche il momento in cui nel video il personaggio femminile si trova addormentato, si risveglia e vede in terra le fotografie lacerate.

Esposizione abiti
Abiti e accessori appesi con filo trasparente, devono volteggiare nell’aria.
No manichini, poiché gli abiti devono essere privi di un sostegno in quanto rappresentano il fantasma della paura.
Proiezione video su schermo.
Sei illustrazioni appese alle pareti.
